STatement of Faith
About
We believe in God of the Holy Bible, all Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. We believe that God is the Creator of the entire universe. In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. We believe Jesus Christ is God and became Man. In the beginning, it was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made. We believe that He is one, He exists in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe that God created man in the image of God. Man has lost his relationship with God by trespassing on the divine law of God and separated from His presence. Man needed God to reconcile the relationship that was lost. Jesus Christ is God became Man, lived on the face of the earth for 33 &1/2 years. Everyone on the earth is born to live but dies. Jesus was born to die but He lives. Jesus Christ died on the cross, buried and resurrected from the dead on the third day, appeared to many and ascended to heaven, seated on the throne. He is going to come again to rule and to take with Him who is saved. We believe that man is saved through the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross. Salvation is earned through Christ alone and by His grace alone and man's faith in Him alone.

STudy the Word
Our Word Ministry is led by born-again men of God who faithfully teach from the Word of God every Friday evening. Over the years, we have journeyed through 50 of the Bible's 66 books, exploring Scripture book by book, chapter by chapter, verse by verse, and sometimes even word by word. For children ages 3 to 13, born-again teachers provide systematic weekly teaching, laying a strong foundation in the Word.

Fellowship is at the heart of our community. We celebrate new life in Christ through water baptism, support one another with helping hands and humble hearts, and gather weekly to share in worship and encouragement. Our ministry extends into annual events, where we connect and grow as a family in Christ.

The breaking of bread brings us together in faith and fellowship. Since 2009, we have hosted annual family Christian conferences during Memorial Day weekend, uniting believers across the Midwest to worship through teaching, singing, and the breaking of bread. These gatherings average over 100 attendees/year and provide a platform for building faith. Additionally, we welcome guest speakers from all over the world to share and minister the Word, enriching our spiritual growth and understanding.
Spread the Word
Over the years, we have embraced numerous opportunities to share the gospel and proclaim the message of Jesus Christ in creative and impactful ways. Through the celebrations of birthdays we have used those as evangelistic opportunities to preach the gospel, reaching many people. From December 2009 to December 2019, IBSF shared the gospel through email Yahoo groups on significant occasions like Christmas, Easter, and Independence Day, reaching over 1,000 recipients with the hope of salvation. We began distributing gospel tracts at the Iowa State Fair in 2022, spreading the message of Christ to a diverse audience.

Our public evangelism initiatives have been just as fruitful. Since December 2006, annual evangelistic Christmas events on public platforms have reached over 3,600 people. Similarly, annual Easter gatherings, beginning in April 2018, have shared the gospel with more than 100 individuals in smaller public settings. In addition, our outreach efforts during India Day, an annual event since August 2017, have resulted in the distribution of over 400 New Testaments Bibles in Indian languages, meeting a vital need for Scripture accessibility. These actions show a strong desire to share the message and make Christ known.
